Beginners Saturdays 11.30 - 12-30 (starting 4th February, 2012)
No experience necessary for this class. 10 week ticket or you can come on a casual basis. This is a low impact dance class and anyone can join. It does not matter if you haven't danced before or what your level of fitness is. Your teacher will take this into consideration. This is a non competitive, friendly, fun class so come along and get fit, tone your muscles, lose some weight while learning a new skill. Enquire about this class
Intermediate/Performance Saturdays 12.30 - 1.30 (starting 11th February, 2012) You need to know the basic moves of belly dance for this class as there will be no breakdown of basic moves. We will do some technique after the warm up but will mostly focus on learning choreographies to perform. Students will also get the chance to choreograph, to improvise and learn about performing, what music to use, how to put a show together, what costumes to wear and what not to wear. We will also dance with cane, sword, veil and zills. Students have the opportunity to perform at festivals throughout the year and committed students can work towards performing duets or solos.
